Let's embark on an amazing adventure to the Galápagos Islands. These islands are a wildlife wonderland, where giant tortoises roam, sea lions sunbathe, and blue-footed boobies put on a show! It was in 1835 that Darwin's theory of evolution was inspired after seeing wildlife on the Galápagos Islands. In this presentation, we'll say Ahoy, Matey to Michelle, a recently retired teacher from Moose Jaw who travelled to the islands in October 2023. We'll hear about her adventure, see her pictures, and get filled with the feeling of wanderlust.
We’ll also be joined by Bernardo Carillo, head of Business Development, Groups, Charters and Incentives with HX (formerly Hurtigruten Expeditions). He’s a Galapagos Expert, he helps develop the Galapagos product, and has a very intimate level of knowledge with the area. He comes with over 20 years of experience developing responsible tourism opportunities and managing sustainable discovery in the Galapagos.
This presentation is co-hosted by Dave Wentworth of Destination Whatever Travel; and the Indian Head Public Library. Let's learn about the world or exciting travel opportunities together.
