What Is the UK ETA?

Who Needs a UK ETA?
If you’re a Canadian citizen traveling to the UK for tourism, you’ll need an ETA. Got kids tagging along? They’ll need one too. If you happen to hold dual citizenship with the UK or an Irish passport, lucky you—you’re exempt from this requirement.
When Does the ETA Come Into Effect?

Pay the Fee: At the time of writing, it costs £10 to apply.
Wait for Approval: Most applications are approved within 48 hours, but to avoid any hiccups, apply as soon as your travel plans are set.

How Long Is the ETA Valid?
